I haven't come across any 3rd party PS3 controller that's actually an improvement on the design. There's also an issue with R3 and 元 being mapped to pressing the sticks, which leads to them sometimes being activated while using the sticks (particularly in Oblivion). The rubber texture on the analog sticks doesn't hold up very well though, and neither do the sticks themselves. The D-Pad and face buttons have a good design and good responsiveness, and the analog sticks are placed very well, particularly if you're holding the controller properly. Due to the small design you can't have a death grip on it, but because it's so light you just let it rest on your ring and pinky fingers and it sits fine. The R1/L1 shoulder bumpers are easy to press and it doesn't seem to matter exactly where you press on them, they still work. The R2/L2 triggers bother some people for FPS games, but you shouldn't be playing an FPS on a gamepad anyway, and they're much better for racing games or any game that uses them for acceleration. ![]() The SIXAXIS is a very comfortable controller, and is very light.
